Jennifer Mathis (LPC, LPCC, MHC), Director of Trauma, Intern & Outpatient Services
Raised in Northern California’s Sonoma County, Jennifer Mathis studied at Argosy University, earning a master’s in forensic psychology and another in mental health counseling. She’s currently a PhD candidate at Northcentral University in psychology. Mathis is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California and a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Hawaii. She is also a certified EMDR therapist, certified in Brainspotting and a certified EMDR Sandtray Specialist.
Her work in the field began because Mathis felt there was a great need for trauma-based therapists in the addictions arena. She enjoys helping patients in their healing journey, training interns and therapists as well as working directly with patients who need help processing their trauma. When not busy helping others heal, Mathis enjoys yoga, meditation and is an avid learner.
