CALVARY TREATMENT OPTIONS
Often the first step toward sobriety, medically-supervised detoxification can have a huge benefit. At Calvary Recovery, we have 18 designated detox beds with around-the-clock care to ease any withdrawal symptoms and ensure that our clients’ body systems are healthy and working properly prior to digging into the deeper work of treatment. The Detox Program at Calvary Addiction Recovery Center is overseen by Dr. Alan Kazan, a board certified addictionologist with more than 30 years of experience treating addiction.
Residential care is the most comprehensive approach to lasting wellness. With 50 beds, the 30-day residential program at Calvary Recovery offers comprehensive, 24-hour care, providing RNs, physicians and psychiatric support on site. Our master’s-level, state- certified therapists offer individual and group therapy utilizing MI, CBT, 12-Step facilitation and EMDR.
For those patients who do not require an inpatient level of care, Calvary offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This program includes six hours of daytime treatment, Monday through Friday, including group therapy, nursing education, recovery education, weekly appointments with the physician, recreational therapy and acupuncture. This program also assists participants in developing a recovery support system outside of treatment by attendance and participation in outside 12-Step meetings.
In practice for more than 20 years, Calvary’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) consists of seven groups offered at three different Phoenix-area locations. There are flexible treatment times to fit any schedule, specialized groups for young adults 18-25 years of age, and plenty of opportunities for family involvement and education, including a free weekly multi-family group therapy session. At IOP, our experts provide recovery coaching and relapse prevention plans, giving patients a proven “recipe for sobriety” to help them on the road to lasting recovery.

“Being able to engage with people that are working in recovery programs, it was really nice to see other people that have gone through what I’ve gone through and share their experience, strength and hope with me. I know feel a sense of purpose and a sense of belonging and I am happy. First time I have been happy in awhile.” Tecia
