The addiction professionals at Calvary Healing Center are dedicated to providing effective treatment for recovery from substance use disorders. The Calvary Healing Center staff is made up of certified addiction therapists, medical staff, and a consulting psychiatrist.
The skilled clinical staff combines evidence-based addiction therapy techniques, the 12-step program, and medical care to create the greatest potential for long-term recovery. The staff at Calvary Healing Center have the dedication needed to help patients combat addiction. Meet the Calvary Healing Center Staff
Michael McFarland, LMSW
Chief Executive Officer
Mike McFarland is an established leader with more than 28 years of dedicated service in the behavioral health arena. His experience ranges from leading inpatient behavioral health facilities to outpatient treatment clinics, as well as management of regional facility teams. Mike joined the UHS team at Calvary as CEO in May of 2023.
Mike is committed to the patient experience, ensuring high standards and quality outcomes, transparency with stakeholders, and overall culture development for the teams he is accountable for. As a licensed social worker, Mike is committed to sound clinical programming and abatement of symptoms that impact those he serves.
Mike and his wife have three children and are very active in their community and church through various groups and associations. He enjoys spending time with family, especially at the beach.
Tamara Luckett, MSW, LCSW
Clinical Director, Calvary Healing Center
Tamara Luckett-Cavanaugh is the Clinical Director of Calvary Healing Center and has worked in social services for over 30 years. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2004 and has worked in acute, inpatient, outpatient, behavioral health, substance use treatment, tribal government and educational settings. Her primary practice theories include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and she utilizes a trauma-informed care perspective. She specializes in anxiety disorder treatment and infuses the 12 Step and peer support models into practice. Most recently, she has presented trainings on anxiety disorders and treatment, trauma informed care, basic motivational interviewing skills and clinical documentation.

Bryan Evenson
Director of Business Development
Bryan Evenson joined UHS in December 2015. Born in San Francisco and raised in Everett, Washington and Scottsdale, Arizona, Bryan pursued studies in art, business and architecture in Arizona. In September 2022, Bryan was appointed Director of Business Development at Calvary after holding various roles across multiple departments, including at a Level I psychiatric facility.
His experience spans a wide range of positions: BHT, Lead BHT, Intake Specialist, Utilization Review, Lead Intake Coordinator, Community Liaison, and Director of Business Development. Bryan leverages his expertise to support potential patients and their families, utilizing his deep understanding of substance use disorders and psychiatric care. His ability to build strong connections with providers, facilities, and organizations fosters collaboration at all levels of care, ensuring seamless coordination with referral sources and community partners.
A deep sense of purpose drives Bryan’s commitment to substance use disorder and behavioral healthcare. He is passionate about supporting his staff, empowering them to deliver high-quality patient care. Bryan leads with integrity, compassion and determination, striving to be the kind of leader he would want to follow.
Bryan and his wife have three grown children and currently live in Scottsdale. In his free time, he values time with family, working as a freelance artist, indulging his enthusiasm for sports, the outdoors and world travel with his wife.

Tracy Herrera, MA, LPC
Director of Outpatient Services
Tracey holds a Master’s in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation from Ottawa University. With over 10 years of experience in addiction treatment, she is committed to providing compassionate care and expert guidance, making her a key leader in the field.
Tracey’s passion is working with the Veteran population and helping all people find long-term healing and recovery.
Tracey is a native of Phoenix. When she is not helping others, she enjoys being with her husband Lee, watching football and baseball, going to church, playing with her grandkids, and being with her dog Steve.
Meghan Berrelez
Intake Manager
Meghan Berrelez joined the team at Calvary Healing Center in August of 2022 as an intake coordinator before being promoted to the role of Intake Manager in July of 2023. Meghan was born and raised in Peoria, Arizona before moving to Flagstaff, Arizona where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2021 from Northern Arizona University.
Through Meghan’s time at Calvary Healing Center and her previous role as a behavioral therapist for children with autism, she fell in love with patient care and was inspired to continue her education. She is currently attending Chamberlain University and will graduate with her Bachelor of Nursing in the summer of 2025. After graduation, Meghan plans to continue with Calvary Healing Center as a registered nurse and ensure that the patients at the facility are receiving the best care possible.
In her free time, Meghan enjoys spending time with her loved ones, traveling, attending concerts and relaxing with her two dogs.
