Medically-Managed Detox from Substances
Tackling substance abuse problems can be a scary process, but it’s not one you have to face alone. The staff at Calvary Healing Center is here to help you walk the road to recovery successfully. For some, safely and effectively detoxing the body from harmful substances is the first step in one’s journey to recovery.
At our detox residential treatment center (RTC), experienced medical staff provides a comfortable environment for those who need assistance through this process. Our team utilizes evidence-based treatment and behavioral therapies to help aid our patients through this first step in the alcohol or drug addiction recovery process.
Treatment at a detox RTC is necessary for adults who are likely to experience withdrawal symptoms or complications requiring medical intervention. It takes place under the close supervision of our medical and nursing staff to withdraw the patient from all chemicals and manage any medical needs that arise during treatment.
The length of the detox period will depend on the patient’s needs and symptoms. Staff utilizes a variety of techniques to address both the psychological and medical components in this early phase of recovery. While detoxing, patients will also participate in mindfulness work, trauma release exercises and yoga.
Calvary’s full Medical Detox Program also includes:
- Complete history and physical medical exam
- 24-hour nursing
- Board-certified addictionologist
- Daily physician checkups
- Daily group therapy
- Individualized case management
ADDITIONAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
People with substance use issues may often find themselves struggling with other psychiatric disorders, which can be a reason for substance abuse or exacerbate it. Our patients should not have to seek out psychiatric treatment at another behavioral health hospital while in our care. At Calvary Healing Center, we provide psychiatric services for co-occurring disorders.
Our multidisciplinary team utilizes a variety of therapy modalities to help patients cope with life stressors and past trauma that can impede the recovery process. Once patients have completed detox, we may refer patients to our residential program or our outpatient programs for additional care and oversight.
HELPING FAMILIES HEAL
Detox and additions to drugs and alcohol can tear apart the lives of individuals and families. Calvary Healing Center is dedicated to helping people who want to start the recovery process and teaching families how to support this life change.
Our Family Program is open to patients and families from all our treatment programs each Saturday, where we provided addiction education about the addictive process, addictive personality, 12-Step, sponsorship, transitional living and other topics. Loved ones are also invited to attend our no-cost local weekly Family Support Group on Thursdays from 6 to 8 pm.
