Compassionate, Patient-Centered Substance Abuse Treatment
Calvary Healing Center specializes in treating drug and alcohol addiction through a variety of programs. Whether you or a loved one is looking for a detox and residential treatment center (RTC) or intensive outpatient treatment, our programs provide the tools necessary to create a foundation for lifelong recovery.
At Calvary Healing Center, every treatment option we offer is built on a single premise: to be successful, we must involve the whole person — body, mind and spirit. We work hard to meet the physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional needs of our patients and families. We strive to create a secure, compassionate and comfortable environment on a few very green acres in the desert of Phoenix, Arizona.
Calvary Healing Center is proud to be a licensed and accredited healthcare facility offering affordable treatments that work for long-term recovery. Many members of our staff are in recovery themselves, so they know what you’re going through and are fully prepared to help you come out of it and get your life back.
Our team is made up of registered nurses, masters-level therapists, behavioral health professionals, physicians and psychiatrists to get patients back on track (psychiatry appointments are available as needed). They’ll create individualized treatment plans for each patient that combine a wide variety of approaches and treatment modalities. These can include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Individual case management
- Devotions and chapel services with an on-site pastor (for Faith-Based Track)
- Health monitoring
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy
- Individual and group therapy
- Family therapy and counseling
- Motivational interviewing
- 12-step facilitation
- Addiction and recovery education
- Relapse prevention
- Discharge and aftercare planning
- Faith Based Track
- DBT
RECOVERY 2.0
Our skilled team of clinicians offers a practical solution to chronic relapse. Recovery 2.0 was created to address treatment fatigue and those who are needing a new experience while in our Residential Treatment Program. By working through all 12 steps, and taking a deeper dive into underlying issues, we hope to provide long-lasting solutions for individuals’ sobriety.
HOLISTIC HEALING THROUGH ADDITIONAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
People with substance use issues may often find themselves struggling with other psychiatric disorders, which can be a reason for substance abuse or exacerbate it. At Calvary Healing Center, we provide psychiatric services for co-occurring disorders. Our patients should not have to seek out depression treatment at another psychiatric treatment center or behavioral health hospital while in our care. Like other behavioral health centers providing anxiety treatment in Phoenix, Arizona, our multidisciplinary team utilizes a variety of therapy modalities to help patients cope with the life stressors and past trauma that can impede the recovery process.
HEALING PEOPLE, HEALING FAMILIES
Addiction doesn’t just affect the addicted person. It impacts the entire family. Our Family Program, open to patients and families from all our treatment programs, is broken into alternating four-hour modules each Saturday.
The first module is geared toward providing education while the second focuses on processing recovery issues. The education module includes information about the addictive process, addictive personality, 12-Step, sponsorship, transitional living and other topics. As family members move on to processing, patients join their loved ones to discuss anger and emotional coping, share honesty letters, explore re-entry options and family agreements.
Loved ones are also invited to attend our free local weekly Family Support Group. These no-cost weekly family education and advanced family education groups for families of patients with multiple treatments are offered Thursdays from 6 to 8 pm.
Our Treatment Programs
RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT
Calvary’s 30-day Inpatient Program integrates two tracks: a traditional 12-Step program and a christ-centered track. Both programs allow patients time for devotion, meditation and spiritual renewal, practices that are essential to a successful recovery. In addition to addiction treatment and counseling, patients also receive inpatient psychiatric treatment for co-occurring disorders, such as depression or anxiety.
MEDICAL DETOX
Calvary Healing Center’s detox RTC provides medical detoxification, comprised of 24-hour nursing, daily appointments with a physician, daily group therapy, individualized case management and additional therapeutic interventions.
PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM (PHP)
PHP serves as a bridge between our residential and intensive outpatient programming. PHP offers patients structured day treatment under the care of medical experts. Our team helps to build spiritual recovery support systems and allow patients to take an active role in renewing their life. PHP also offers observation and monitoring to increase coping skills in their home environment.
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (IOP)
In practice for more than 25 years, IOP at Calvary Healing Center has a professional staff that develops individualized plans, which include recovery, coaching, relapse prevention and family group therapy to ensure the healing of everyone affected.
FAITH-BASED TRACK
While each patient may be in a different stage of his or her spiritual journey, Calvary Healing Center knows that for some, incorporating their Christian faith into every step of their recovery solidifies their new life away from addiction. This optional track includes a pastor/spiritual advisor, daily devotions and more.
